What's the deal with the first one? Was it a low-res version of the second pic?

Yeah. Sometimes I'll save a drawing as the lowest quality JPEG I can, then save it again as a PNG to make it look like it's been saved from some old website about 100 times. Depending on if I like the low quality look it has, if not I'll skip posting the low quality version
